Today, over 500 flags danced in the wind, each one symbolizing and honoring the sacrifices of disabled veterans in New Jersey. The students and staff at John P. Stevens High School have truly showcased the power of unity and respect with their incredible Field of Flags tribute.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially Marine Corps Veteran and Assistant Principal Mr. Robinson, for your service and dedication to this national initiative's raising of critical funds. Also, thank you, Assistant Principal Mr. Ray, for creating a beautiful video capturing the spirit of the day. Watch the video here: https:bit.ly/jpsfieldofflags

Students in Architecture with Ms. May are using a bridge simulator program to help them design a 12” long bridge that they will soon build out of coffee stirrers. They are learning "old school" drafting while incorporating the simulation to design.

Proud to share a moment of dedication and teamwork from our students, Mr. Joseph Teller, our night-time lead custodian, Mr. Pierce, and Mr. Robinson, our event organizer. Despite freezing temperatures and ground as hard as rock, this incredible group found innovative ways to plant over 500 flags for our upcoming Field of Flags celebration on Thursday.
Their commitment and resilience reflect the values that make our community strong. This project honors and respects, not just those who serve, but the spirit of collaboration and perseverance within our own team.
Thank you to everyone involved for showing what’s possible when we work together!
