The purpose of the PTO is to aid the students of John Adams Middle School by providing the funds for extra programs and activities - educational and recreational - beyond the basic classroom activities that the Board of Education provides for, as well as to promote open communication between the administration, teachers and parents.
JAMS PTO organizes the following events and fundraisers throughout the year - Book Fair, Movie Night, Plant Sale, Student of the month breakfast, Clothing Drive, School Spiritwear Sale, Car Magnets, Computer Cover Sale, Ice Cream Social, 8th Grade Dance, Teacher Appreciation week, Restaurant Nights, Box Top Collections, class field trips, etc.
The PTO is a valuable asset and support to you as a John Adam's student’s parent. Our intention is to go beyond fundraising and provide a platform for ongoing parent collaboration and much more.

Since memberships are renewed every school year, PTO members must sign up each year. The membership fee is $15 per family.
What benefits do I get from joining the JAMS PTO?
Parent collaboration: Joining the PTO opens up a communication channel with other parents at your child's school. It is an easy way to share ideas and information, ask questions and to keep yourself updated with PTO activities. Being a PTO member is a great way to stay connected to your child's middle school experience!
Make a difference: Each year, the PTO sponsors events like assemblies, book fair, movie night, field trips and other extra curricular activities for our JAMS Knights. Your membership dues help on a financial level--without your support, these events would not be possible. In addition, your involvement as a volunteer (if you choose to do so) is always welcome and appreciated at these vents.
Payment: This year, we will be accepting payment in the form of cash/check or online payment through PayPal & Venmo. Once you register to become a member, you will receive an email regarding payment information.

Fundraiser or Tax-Deductible Donation
The JAMS PTO provides opportunities and activities for our children but only with the support of our school community. We invite you to support this year's fundraising efforts by making a direct tax-deductible donation to the PTO. While we suggest $50, please feel free to donate what you are most comfortable with. Your OPT-OUT donation may qualify for company/corporate matching at work!
Your generous support whether through a direct donation or participation in the fundraisers will be greatly appreciated.

Celebrate your child's birthday in lights! Your child's name can be posted on the electronic sign for 2 weeks during the month of their birthday. As a fundraiser, the JAMS PTO will be putting children’s birthdays on the school sign for a fee of $15.00. **PTO Members receive the discounted rate of $10! It is on a first come, first served basis, so please submit your form to reserve your space!
